I grew up loving mountains and finding peace in them. When I was in elementary school, my family moved from LA to Cache Valley Utah. The west side of the valley is dominated by the Wellsville Mountains. A very steep and very prominent feature of the valley, I quickly realized I could use that mountain range to help orient myself since I was unfamiliar with my new surroundings.

I met my wife Becca, in high school! We were both in the marching band, I played the trombone while she was in the colorguard. We got married a few years later in the Logan Utah Temple and now have four kids! I grew up with many adventurous hobbies. Some of these are mountain biking, snowmobiling, white water kayaking, as well as backpacking and camping.
